Hi fam it has been a really really great week. I realized that I don’t share enough miracles with you all. This work is SO EXCITING. And so fun but i feel like I don’t tell you about all the little or big miracles as often as I should. So I’m trying to work on that. Well, well, well. What a fabulous week.
I’ll start with a cool Book of Mormon miracle. We were out contacting and there was a huge storm on its way, half of the sky was almost completely black. We saw a man out looking at his grass. Almost immediately as we started talking to him the Spirit prompted me to bring up the Book of Mormon. Then he told us he was so confused with the bible and that he had so many questions. He liked to talk a lot so I didn’t get the chance to introduce the Book of Mormon yet when the storm started rolling in. It started getting really windy and it started raining a bit. He was slowly backing into his house but then I asked him if we could give him a Book of Mormon. We briefly explained it and he said yes. Then the rain really started coming down. I promised him that the Book of Mormon could answer any questions he had. I will never forget the look on his face when I said that. Then he ran into his house and we ran to our car. We went back to visit this man again and he told us that he started reading it and loved it. He said that next time we come hopefully he will have half of it read. How often do we take the Book of Mormon for granted??? For me it was the first 20 years of my life hahah.
ON TO THE NEXT AMAZING MIRACLE. We had the opportunity to attend the temple this week for zone conference. WHAT A BLESSING. Seriously so cool see the celestial room full of like 50 missionaries that you know and love. Anyway there is a scripture in D&C 109, which is the dedicatory prayer on the Kirkland temple, it applied very well to my day after attending the temple. Its verse 23 it says…
“23 And from this place they may bear exceedingly great and glorious tidings, in truth, unto the ends of the earth, that they may know that this is thy work, and that thou hast put forth thy hand, to fulfill that which thou hast spoken by the mouths of the prophets, concerning the last days.”
After we got back to the temple I kid you not every person we walked past talked to us! WHICH DOES NOT HAPPEN. And it was like every 5 minutes we were having another amazing contact. One man even said that he just noticed a glow around us and felt like God told him to talk to us. We met another man like 10 minutes later and he asked US if we could come back and teach him more. And so many other small miracles happened. This truly is the Lord’s work and I am so grateful and excited to be apart of it. Well all have a part in it! I am also grateful for the temple and the peace we can feel there and the answers to our prayers that we can receive there.
Anyway i feel like I’m being way too “missionary” i miss Mario kart and sister Redd is the first person on this earth who knows the music i like so we bond over that. Today i bought Velveeta mac and cheese bowls for the first time in almost a year so I’m excited for that.
Love you fam grateful you all made it home safe from mexico and no babies fell off the sunset cruise (unintentionally) HAVE A GREAT WEEK
