Miracle Week

HELLO ALL. This week was a week of miracles!!! Words can’t even begin to express how I feel. I will just tell you of a few.

Tom:
Our first miracle of the week is named Tom. Tom called us last sunday looking for the elders. He said that he had some questions about the Book of Mormon and just needed some help. We were able to meet with him and help him feel the spirit and it went so well. He is so humble and prepared for the gospel.

Wendell:
The second miracle was Wendell. The Odessa sisters were looking at their formers and saw him. He hadn’t had contact with missionaries since 2016! But they started teaching him over text. And then referred him to us. He lives right next to the church and USF! As we asked him about his beliefs he essentially taught us the Plan of Salvation. It’s like he learned it before this life or something… 😉

Clay:
The third miracle was Clay. SO COOL. I actually gave a Book of Mormon to Clay over a year ago when I was in my training WITH SISTER WARD, nothing really came from it while I was in YSA. After I had been transferred I found out he was meeting with the sisters and had a baptismal date! Long story short he didn’t get baptized. But the other night on campus we were walking a pretty unusual way and walked past Clay. I stopped him by kind of yelling at him saying “You look familiar!! Do I know you?” Then he remembered that I had given him a Book of Mormon more than a year ago. He agreed to meet with us again! We invited him to read 3 Nephi 11 and pray about it. After sacrament on sunday he leaned over to us to tell us he did it. We asked if he had prayed? He said “Yes, but my answer didn’t come that way.” Then proceeded to tell us that after he prayed he looked at the card we gave him and said he realized all the numbers on it were his lucky numbers. He took that for his answer.

Jian:
The fourth miracle was Jian! BEST CONTACT EVER. We were again walking on a strange part of campus and I saw him on top of a parking garage and waved. It looked like he was doing something intense so then I asked “are you doing parkour??” He was! PARKOUR!!!!! And we asked if he could watch and he said yes! Hahahaa. Then he asked us to take some videos of him doing it. After that he started asking questions and told us he had talked to missionaries before and had always wanted to come to our church. The next day we gave him a church tour and taught him about the Book of Mormon and restoration as we went. It was powerful! He seemed to be soaking up every word we were saying. When we taught him about the Book of Mormon he said “Wow, well I guess I better read it.” Apparently about a year ago his friend from back home gave him a Book of Mormon! We finished the church tour in the chapel and it happened to be right before sacrament so after we finished members who were there just surrounded him.

SUNDAY
Sunday was amazing as it was a combination of all the miracles we had this week! Clay, Tom, and Jian came to church! What was even better is, we did nothing!! The members invited the people to church, they sat by them, they talked to them and made them feel welcome. To top it off the talks and lesson presented perfectly met each one of our friends needs and answered questions they had. It was honestly incredible. We literally could just sit back and watch the miracles happen. They will all be coming to FHE tonight. WHAT A BLESSING.

The Lord is so involved in this work. This week was truly incredible. I feel so blessed to have been able to see all these miracles this week (there are even more I didn’t mention) and know they will continue. Words can’t even express my gratitude. I know this is the Lord’s work. I love it. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. The lord is making it very hard for me to leave this place. But we’re not there yet 😉

LOVE YOU ALL!!!
